Empowering Women. Nourishing Families. Protecting Our Future.
Wezesha Mkulima CBO works with women, girls, farmers and rural communities to build food security, improve nutrition, strengthen livelihoods and create climate-resilient communities.

Soil, water, seed, family — one continuous story.
Our philosophy
Behind Every Small Farm Is a Family.
Behind many rural families is a hardworking woman who farms with limited land and resources and is determined to give her children a better future.
Wezesha Mkulima CBO believes that empowering a woman farmer can transform an entire family and eventually an entire community.
When we empower a woman, we strengthen an entire family and community.

Girl child
Every Girl Deserves the Opportunity to Thrive.
Wezesha Mkulima CBO supports the development of the girl child through education, life skills, confidence building, awareness and opportunities — a stronger foundation for a healthy and productive future.

Climate action
Building Communities Ready for a Changing Climate.
We promote practical climate responses that communities can adopt with what they already have: climate-smart agriculture, agroforestry, tree planting, water conservation, soil protection, recycling and sustainable energy.

Future
Sustainable agriculture
Small Land. Big Possibilities.
Most of the families we work with farm on small pieces of land. We support them to use that land productively and sustainably — so it keeps giving, season after season.
Grow more. Waste less. Protect the soil. Feed the family.

Our programmes
Eleven programmes. One connected story.
Our approach
Learning by Doing.
We work through practical demonstrations, farmer training sessions, nutrition awareness, girl-child-focused activities, climate and environmental education, community meetings, farm-based learning, nursery demonstrations, peer-to-peer learning and locally available resources.
- 01
Listen
We begin with the community — its land, its needs and its own knowledge.
- 02
Learn
We study the challenge together: soil, water, crops, nutrition and climate.
- 03
Demonstrate
We show the practice on real farms, not on paper.
- 04
Practice
Farmers try the method themselves, with support close at hand.
- 05
Share
Peer-to-peer learning spreads what works from neighbour to neighbour.
- 06
Grow
Households build on early gains — more food, better nutrition, stronger income.
- 07
Transform
The community becomes more self-reliant, healthier and climate-resilient.
From the first conversation to a community that stands on its own.
Vision
To create empowered, self-reliant and climate-resilient communities where women and girls have opportunities to thrive, families enjoy improved food security and proper nutrition, livelihoods are strengthened, and the environment is protected for present and future generations.
Mission
To empower vulnerable women, girls, farmers and rural families through practical training and community programmes in sustainable agriculture, nutrition, climate change adaptation, agroforestry, water harvesting, environmental conservation, recycling, organic farming, renewable energy, and livelihood development.
Expected impact
The change we work towards, every season.
